Keith Westervelt
President and CEO
Keith Westervelt’s family purchased Blueville Nursery in 1962. He has been CEO since 1998, and he is a 1985 graduate of K-State.

Dustin Stoddard
General Manager
Dustin Stoddard, a 2002 graduate of K-State, has been with Blueville since 1999. He began mowing lawns as a part-time employee and is now the general manager.

Derrick Funk
Operations Manager
Derrick Funk began working for Blueville in March 2003, eventually becoming the irrigation division head. He is a 2003 KSU Graduate.

Anya Armstrong

I moved to Manhattan in 2016 and graduated from Kansas State University in 2021 with my degree in Human Resources Management. I started at Blueville in June 2022.

Pete Reid
Landscape Design and Sales
Pete Reid worked on the field crew before graduating from K-State in 2000. He moved to the landscape division after graduation, where he is now in landscape sales.

Dan Russell started laying sod and mowing for Blueville in 1979. He graduated from KSU in 1982 and managed the maintenance division for several years before moving into landscape sales.

Tim Sharp
Landscape Design and Sales
Tim Sharp began his Blueville Nursery career seeding lawns in the fall of 1986. He liked the large production projects from early on and eventually built a division to work at Ft. Riley after a base realignment in the early 2000s funneled a lot of building projects there. He now does landscape sales and project management and is still involved with the seeding for the company.

Derek DeBoer
Landscape Design and Sales
Horticulture Hints Radio Show Host
Derek DeBoer began at Blueville in 2006 while he was a student at K-State. While earning his degree in Horticulture, Derek gained experience through Blueville’s maintenance and landscape divisions. Most recently, Derek served as the garden store manager before moving into landscape sales.

Jade Barta
Maintenance
Jade Barta began working part-time for Blueville in 2001 and is now the maintenance division head. He graduated from KSU in 2002.

Andrew began working in the growing fields pruning and digging trees in 2003. He moved to the maintenance division in 2007 and manages all chemical application services provided by Blueville Nursery.

Katie Riniker
Garden Store Manager
Katie Riniker’s work in the industry began in 2002. Her degrees were completed at KSU in business marketing and horticulture – landscape design by 2009. Katie came to Blueville in January of 2017 and is now the garden store manager and division head.

Mitch Mugler
Administration
Mitch Mugler originally started out as a part-time mower in 2008. He graduated from KSU in 2013 with a degree in accounting and moved to Kansas City. He started back at Blueville as the administration office manager in 2016.
